Ever Consider a Career in Police Dispatch? SPD is Hiring

The Southington Police Department announced Friday that it has a job opening, and no experience in law enforcement is required.

The department on Friday posted the following to it's Facebook page, offering a 32 to 40 hour per week job as a police dispatcher. Dispatchers are responsible for coordinating communication and dispatch for police, fire and EMD services.

Public Safety Dispatcher (Telecommunicator) Collective Bargaining Position: The Southington Police Department is seeking a Public Safety Dispatcher to work within the Southington Police Department Communications Division.
