Florida Man Charged in Drug Case After Disturbance

Police said the man allegedly threatened to kill people over the phone before officers arrested him and found heroin.

A Florida man is facing drug charges after police said he became agitated during a phone conversation outside the on Queen Street over the weekend and proceeded to threaten to kill people over the phone before being taken into custody.

Officers arrested Evan Ryan McCue, of 105 S.E. 26th St. in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., on Saturday night on charges of second-degree breach of peace, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released after posting bond, police said.

McCue, 25, appeared intoxicated when approached by officers and a search during the arrest, which stems from the alleged breach of peace, led police to find several small bags heroin.

The also reported the following arrests:

Robert James Pala, 25, of 15 Knollwood Drive in Wallingford, was charged with third-degree burglary and fourth-degree larceny, Oct. 7.

Laura L. Boutot, 26, of 111 Stillwell Drive in Plainville, was charged with having an improper number of tail lights, failure to drive in proper lane and driving under the influence, Oct. 11.

Justin Matthew Breton, 25, of 212 Curtiss St. in Southington, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree burglary, Oct. 8.

The preceding arrest information was provided by the Southington Police Department. It does indicate a conviction.
