Four Cited After Police Break Underage Drinking Party

The following arrest information was provided by the Southington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Four people were cited following discovery of a small Thursday night party at a home on West Pines Drive, police said. Officers responded with reports of minors potentially drinking and were able to determine those in attendance were underage.

Paul Swiderski, 19, of 424 W. Pines Drive, was cited with possession of alcohol by a minor and Steven Churchill of Bristol, Jordan Gallagher of Plainville and Lea R. Trueblood of Riverton were each cited with possession of alcohol by a minor.

The Southington Police Department reported the following arrests:

Aug. 21

Cesar Garcia, 46, of 23 Vicki Lane in Southington, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, Aug. 21.

David M. Civitello, 41, of 146 Beecher St. in Southington, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, Aug. 21.

Norman L. Fritz, 27, of 242 N. Main St. in Southington, was charged with breach of peace and third-degree criminal trespassing, Aug. 21.

Aug. 22

Henry Bermudez-Huertas, 25, of 55 Prospect St. in Bristol, was charged with fifth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny, Aug. 22.

Corey Mitchell, 19, of 103 Lawncrest Drive in Southington, was charged with failure to respond to an infraction and second-degree failure to appear, Aug. 22.

Cheryl J. Randall, 53, of 219 Maple Hill Road in Naugatuck, was charged with three counts of second-degree failure to appear, Aug. 22.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:

  • Five people were cited with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
  • Three people were cited with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.
  • Three people were cited with speeding/traveling too fast.
  • Two people were cited with following too close/unsafe backing.
  • One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle without a license.
  • One person was cited with failure to insure motor vehicle.
