Main Street Closed After Two Car Accident

Police and fire officials are reporting no major injuries.

A two car accident involving one car crashing into a utility pole has led police and fire officials to temporarily close a portion of Route 10 in Plantsville Monday afternoon.

The accident, which occurred just before noon, led to "some minor injuries" but caused extensive damage to both cars. Main Street is currently closed from Chestnut Street to Bristol Street.

Further details of the accident were not immediately available. The road is expected to reopen by 2 p.m., police and fire officials said.
