Thursday Accident Leaves Hole in Queen Street McDonald's

No one was injured, but the restaurant has considerable external damage and minor internal damage after a car drove into the building late Thursday morning.

The McDonald's Restaurant on Queen Street had business brought to an abrupt halt on Thursday after police said a car drove into the building, causing both exterior and interior damage.

The accident occurred around noon when a car ran into the Queen Street restaurant, causing visible damage to the side of the restaurant, according to Southington police.


No one was injured in the accident, officers said, but the exact extent of the damage is unknown.

Phone calls made to the restaurant were not answered.

It's an unfortunate accident for McDonald's, which recently completed renovations to make the building both more business and family friendly.
