Plainville Woman Arrested on DUI Charges After Narrowly Missing Pedestrian

Police said she had 14 Xanax pills before driving and nearly hit a person then went head on to a car in the TD Homers parking lot.

A Plainville woman is facing charges including first-degree reckless endangerment and driving under the influence after police said she narrowly missed hitting a man in the parking lot of and proceeded to crash head on with a car parked in the lot.

Kathryn Keri Gilman, 29, of 190 Tomilson Ave. in Plainville, turned herself in after learning there was a warrant for her arrest on charges of driving under the influence and first-degree reckless endangerment. She was released after posting bond and is due in Bristol Superior Court for arraignment on Aug. 22.

Witnesses told police she had backed over a curb, stopped momentarily then sped up considerably and “missed a person by a foot.” Gilman told police she had taken 14 Xanax pills, a prescription drug typically used to lessen anxiety.

Patricia A. Sullivan, failure to respond to an infraction, 44, of 141 Falcon Ridge Road in Torrington, was charged with failure to respond to an infraction, Aug. 11.

Javier E. Arroyo, 19, of 125 Howard Ave. in Southington, was charged with two counts of first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace, interfering with an officer, two counts of reckless endangerment, sixth-degree larceny and second-degree threatening, Aug. 11.

Joshua J. Landeen, 28, of 23 Beecher St. in Southington, was charged with second-degree failure to appear, Aug. 11.

Brian Fitzpatrick, 39, of 28 Division St. in Danbury, was charged with fifth-degree larceny, Aug. 11.

Travis B. Ranson, 21, of 890 Poverty Hollow Road in Newtown, was charged with driving under the influence, having an improper number of headlights, driving the wrong way on a one way street and failure to maintain proper lane, Aug. 13.

Malwina M. Jodlowski, 24, of 27 Darling St. in Southington, was charged with disorderly conduct, Aug. 14.

Krzysztof M. Jodlowski, 29, of 27 Darling St. in Southington, was charged with disorderly conduct, Aug. 14.
