A Hartford teenager is facing larceny and forgery charges stemming from the theft of a paycheck from a local woman, police said.

Officers served a warrant on Anthony Williams, 19, late last week on charges of fifth-degree larceny and third-degree forgery. The warrant was served while Williams, of 124 Barker St. in Hartford, was in Hartford Superior Court for an unrelated case.

Police said late last year, Williams stole a paycheck from his friend’s mother and proceeded to cash it in an area bank. The bank documents, including the date and time the check was cashed, helped lead to an arrest warrant according to Sgt. Lowell DePalma.

The also reported the following arrest:

Nicholas D. Desbois, 23, of 98 Davis Drive in Bristol, was charged with third-degree burglary, fifth-degree larceny, third-degree criminal mischief, third-degree criminal trespassing and operating a motor vehicle under suspension, Jan. 26.
