Update: Police Searching for Wig-Wearing Bank Robbery Suspect in Durham

Police are investigating a robbery at the Liberty Bank on Main Street Thursday afternoon, the second bank robbery in the area in the past week.

 

State Police are investigating a bank robbery at the Liberty Bank at 357 Main Street in Durham.

The robbery happened shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday, according to police.

According to reports, a man wearing a wig, sunglasses and a hooded sweatshirt walked into the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. The suspect left the bank and got into an older, red Volvo station wagon with out of state license plates.

The investigation into the robbery continues.

Last Friday, the TD Bank branch on Main Street in Durham was robbed. Police have not made an arrest in the case.

So much for my personal theory on the TD Bank robbery last week - as in its location set back from the road. Very scarey.
