Police Investigating Robbery at TD Bank

The Main Street branch was robbed just before 6 p.m., police said, and Southington officers are currently looking for a potential suspect.

Southington police are currently investigating a bank robbery that occurred at the on Main Street just before 6 p.m. after a suspect entered, demanded cash and then fled the scene on foot.

Officers were dispatched to the 121 Main St. bank with reports that a man standing about 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a stocky build had entered and slipped the teller a note demanding cash. He then left on foot with an undisclosed, dispatchers said Monday night.

It was unknown if he had a weapon.

The called for assistance from the Bristol Police Department and both helped conduct a canine search, but were unable to immediately locate the suspect.
