Erik R. Kastner, of 4 Ciani Ave. in Plainville, was taken into custody on Tuesday after officers were able to recover the power tool at the Brookside Pawn Shop and tie him to the theft, according to Police Sgt. Jeffrey Dobratz.
“He took a Husqvarna concrete saw, a leaf blower and some old coins earlier this year and pawned them at a nearby shop,” Dobratz said. “He had also taken two checks that were not cashed.”
Police said the shop keeps meticulous records and was able to provide information regarding the seller, leading them to Kastner. Kastner, 34, is facing charges of third-degree burglary and fourth-degree larceny.
