Police Searching for Two Men Involved in Queen Street Robbery

Officers said the two men entered the 7-Eleven Store on Queen Street in Southington and went behind the counter, taking money from two drawers before fleeing.

Southington police are seeking help in identifying two men who robbed the 7-Eleven convenience store along Queen Street over the weekend before fleeing with a little over $100 in cash.

Sgt. Jeffrey Dobratz said Monday that the two men, shown in the surveillance photos above, entered the 777 Queen St. store around 3:15 a.m. Saturday morning. One man went behind the counter and forced the clerk to open the register, taking cash while the second suspect looked on.

“The suspects obtained more money from a second cash register drawer in the same manner,” Dobratz said. “The suspects never implied or showed a weapon to the store clerk.  The suspects obtained approximately $109 in cash.”

Video surveillance was obtained following the incident, police said. The suspects were described as follows:

Suspect One
Suspect one was wearing black puffy jacket zipped up with hood overhead, tan brimmed baseball hat under hood. The jacket has a design on the left chest and a white design on the right upper back. A black winter facemask is covering the mouth and nose. Only the suspect's eyes and bridge of nose are visible. The suspect has light skin visible in the area around the eyes. The suspect's eyes are dark colored, possibly brown. He was wearing black gloves on his hands and had denim style jeans and brown with a darker toe hiking style shoe. The suspect is about 5'8" tall.

Suspect Two

Suspect two was wearing a black ski mask covering the head with only the eyes visible. The suspect has light skin in the eye area and dark colored eyes. The suspect was wearing a black puffy style jacket with red trimmed zippers on the front and pockets. The jacket was zipped up with a white design on the left shoulder. Suspect two was wearing black gloves on the hands. Suspect two was wearing dark pants with white trip on the back pockets and black sneakers with white shoelaces and white trim. Suspect two is about 5'8" tall.
