The officer is reportedly recovering after approximately nine hours of surgery on Monday, according to a press release from the department.

Snype is described as a black man standing approximately five feet, eight inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, as well as a scar on his left elbow and a tattoo on his right hand, according to police.
