Police: Two Charged in ‘Ransack’ of Shuttle Meadow Home

Southington officers said the home was broken into and multiple things stolen including alcohol, cash, prescription pills and handbags.

Two Southington residents are facing charges after police said Tuesday they allegedly “ransacked” a Shuttle Meadow Road home and took a variety of items during a burglary on Nov. 13.

Southington residents Sandra L. Beaudoin, 21, and Guy L. Ferrelli, 22, each turned themselves in to police last week after learning there was a warrant for their arrest.

Both are facing charges of third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy top commit sixth-degree larceny. Ferrelli is also facing one charge of third-degree criminal mischief.

The two were released after posting a $4,000 non-surety bond and are due in Bristol Superior Court for arraignment on Dec. 9, according to the Southington Police Department.

“An investigation showed that on Nov. 13 the victim, a resident of Shuttle Meadow Road reported that their residence was broken into and ransacked,” Sgt. Jeffrey Dobratz said. “During the course of the burglary a bathroom window was smashed in order to gain entry into the residence.”

Video surveillance helped officers identify Beaudoin and Ferrelli, police said. The victim was known to them, police said.

Police said the two, who were later interviewed, admitted to taking several items including prescription pills, 2 handbags, approx. $10 in change and assorted bottles of alcohol.
