Three Charged in Panthorn Park Fight

An investigation into a November fight at Panthorn Park leads to the arrest of several individuals and more could be coming.

Police have charged three men for their involvement in an apparent fight that broke out at Panthorn Park in November and additional arrests could be coming.

Officers took three men into custody on Friday and Saturday, including two Wonx Spring Road residents, after officers said they involved in a fight with “five or six people” at Panthorn Park. The fight started after a verbal confrontation between a few of the men on the phone, police said.

Local residents Pavlo Vynar, 19, and his brother Bohdan Vynar, 18, both of 179 Wonx Spring Road in Southington, were taken into custody on one charge of second-degree breach of peace. Both were released after posting bond and are due in Bristol Superior Court for arraignment later this month.

John A. Reardon, 20, of 24 Belaire Drive in Plainville, was also booked in the case and is facing charges of second-degree breach of peace, conspiracy to commit third-degree assault and second-degree filing a false statement. He was released on a $5,000 bond, police said.

Details of the case remain unclear, but officers with the said the incident started following a verbal confrontation between two men over the phone followed by a physical confrontation at the park on Nov. 13 in which one man kicked a second off his motorcycle before a fight broke out.

No further details were available on Tuesday.
