Southington Police Begin 'Click-It or Ticket' Efforts

The first of several checkpoints will be hosted today.

With summer around the corner and vacation season ahead, police are making sure that everyone is safe traveling to and from their destination to insure a good time.

The will be participating in the Click it or Ticket Campaign (Wave 42) through Sunday, June 6, according to Lt. Lowell DePalma, and the mission is to acheive compliance.

"It's a proactive effort to make sure there are no tragedies," DePalma said.

During this time, there is a greater emphasis on the enforcement of seatbelt and child seat safety, as well as other motor vehicle violations.

There will also be conducting enforcement check points on the following dates and times:
