Southington Police Blotter: A Tire Iron Argument and Crescent Lake Crazy Drinking

The following arrest information was provided by the Southington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Meriden man is facing charges after police said he pulled and wound up to strike an ex-girlfriend with a tire iron before pulling back and speeding away during a domestic dispute. That’s just one of several arrests this week, however. Take a look back at the latest arrest logs.

The Southington Police Department reported the following arrests:

Aug. 7

Lisa Orsini, 48, of 118 Gale Ave. in Meriden, was charged with misuse of marker plates, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating an unregistered motor vehicle, Aug. 7.

Aug. 9

Peter R. Josenhans, 49, of 217 Durham St. in Southington, was charged with second-degree threatening, second-degree harassment and second-degree breach of peace, Aug. 9.

David Fay, 36, of 100 Tamara Circle in Avon, was charged with second-degree assault with a motor vehicle, driving under the influence and evading responsibility in an accident, Aug. 9.

Stephen Uryga, 55, of 42 Victoria Drive in Southington, was charged with disorderly conduct, Aug. 9.

Aug. 10

Lester E. Chalmers, 26, of 121 Seymour St. in Bristol, was charged with four counts of sixth-degree larceny, Aug. 10.

Aug. 11

Ryan M. Haddock, 23, of 38 Rourke Ave. in Southington, was charged with interfering with an office, littering and intoxication in a public park, Aug. 11.

Mackenzie Garcia, 25, of 96 Harness Drive in Meriden, was charged with possession of weapons in a motor vehicle, carrying a dangerous weapon, second-degree breach of peace, second-degree threatening and reckless driving, Aug. 11.

Peter E. Haskell II, 28, of 49 Ward St. in Naugatuck, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and operating a motor vehicle under suspension, Aug. 11.

Tacyra Jones, 21, of 44 Bunker Hill Ave. in Waterbury, was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace and third-degree criminal mischief, Aug. 11.


Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:

  • Five people were cited with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
  • Three people were cited with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.
  • Two people were cited with following too close/unsafe backing.
  • One person was cited with improper use of registration.
  • One person was cited with failure to insure motor vehicle.
  • One person was cited with speeding/traveling too fast.
  • One person was cited with failure to wear seatbelt.
  • One person was cited with allowing a dog to roam without a leash.
  • One person was cited with possession of alcohol in public.
  • One person was cited with minor under 18 in possession of alcohol.
