One thing I'd like to see it the police start to do is to move or ticket the parkers on the street at the High School weekdays at school dismissal. I know, I know, they're only "standing," but it sure looks like parking to me when they're "standing" for a half hour reading a book or daydreaming. Be that as it may, while the police are routinely NOT enforcing the no parking law, making Pleasant Street unsafe for drivers, they can at least ticket the pigs who park right on the corners to the lots. These areas don't allow for blockages, standing included, being clearly marked with yellow curbing. Parking in these spots, while selfishly garnering a quick getaway for these scofflaws and their scholars, is very hazardous for cars and buses entering and leaving and children crossing at the corners. The place is nut house enough at dismissal so the police could start to enforce traffic laws to make it safer.
