Southington Police Blotter: Dec. 29 - Jan. 2

The following arrest information was provided by the Southington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police found themselves responding to several types of cases over the holiday weekend and to start the New Year, including investigations that led to arrests in a criminal mischief case, a shoplifting case and a case where police said a man pulled a firearm out and threatened to use it. Take a look back at the latest arrests.

The Southington Police Department reported the following arrests:

Dec. 29

Andrew C. Melillo, 27, of 71 Orient St. in Meriden, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, Dec. 29.

Dec. 31

Samuel Alvarez, 57, of 1223 Mount Vernon Road in Southington, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, first-degree threatening and brandishing a firearm, Dec. 31.

Jan. 2

Greg A. Brown, 23, of 35 Conlon St. in Bristol, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, Jan. 2.

No additional infractions to report today.
