In a busy end of week and start of the weekend for Southington police, officers found themselves busy responding to a wide range of motor vehicle violations including arresting two people on driving under the influence charges. Take a look back at the latest arrest logs.
The Southington Police Department reported the following arrests:
Dec. 7
Brian L. Hurst, 33, of 1296 State St. in New Haven, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under suspension, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, failure to insure motor vehicle and misuse of license plate, Dec. 7.
Susan Donovan, 48, of 424 Greens Loop in Cheshire, was charged with driving under the influence, Dec. 7.

Dec. 8
Dennis J. Cleland, 36, of 23 Muir Terrace in Southington, was charged with first-degree failure to appear, Dec. 8.
Liliana E. Ranieri, 55, of 421 Kensington Road in Southington, was charged with driving under the influence, failure to insure motor vehicle and failure to maintain proper lane, Dec. 8.
Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:
- Four people were cited with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
- Two people were cited with speeding/traveling too fast.
- Two people were cited with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.
- Two people were cited with failure to insure motor vehicle.
- Two people were cited with operating a motor vehicle without proper headlights.
- Two people were cited with failure to drive in proper lane.
- Two people were cited with following too close.
- One person was cited with failure to renew registration.
- One person was cited with failure to wear a seatbelt.
- One person was cited with failure to obey a stop sign.
- One person was cited with allowing a dog to roam without a leash.
