Distracted drivers, unregistered vehicles and other infractions left police busy in a week that saw more than three-dozen citations.

In a busy week for Southington’s finest, officers issued a myriad of infractions including a crackdown of distracted drivers and unregistered vehicles.

Here’s a look at some of the police activity in Southington over the past week, including 36 separate citations issued for various infractions. Take a look back in the latest Southington police blotter.

  • Eleven (11) people were cited with operating unregistered motor vehicles.
  • Four people were cited with following too close.
  • Four people were cited with using a cell phone while driving.
  • Four people were cited with failure to obey stop sign/traffic signal.
  • Three people were cited with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.
  • Three people were cited with speeding/traveling too fast.
  • Two people were cited with failure to renew license.
  • Two people were cited with failure to wear seat belt.
  • One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle without a license.
  • One person was cited with failure to renew registration.
  • One person was cited with failure to maintain proper lane.
