It was a busy week and weekend for Southington police, as officers addressed multiple domestic calls amd other cases while people were stuck at home. In addition, patrolmen and women have been busy on the roads and have issued a wide variety of citations. Take a look back at the latest arrest logs.
The Southington Police Department reported the following arrests:
Feb. 5
Alexander Williams, 20, of 23 Zwicks Farms Road in Southington, was charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny, Feb. 5.
Feb. 7
Randall Lepore, 47, of 54 Liberty St. in Southington, was charged with reckless use of highway by a pedestrian, Feb. 7.
Fernando Viera, 27, of 182 Sexton St. in New Britain, was charged with 10 counts of third-degree burglary, seven counts of sixth-degree larceny, nine counts of third-degree criminal mischief and conspiracy charges on each, Feb. 7
Feb. 10
Daniel Carpentiere, 25,of 26 Vermont Ave. in Southington, was charged with failure to obey a traffic signal, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and failure to insure motor vehicle, Feb. 10.
Feb. 11
Anthony Banas, 42, of 17 Norton St. in Plantsville, was charged with use of a motor vehicle without permission, Feb. 11.
Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:
- Four people were cited for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
- Two people were cited with following too close.
- Two people were cited with seat belt violation.
- Two people were cited with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.
- One person was cited with failure to renew registration.
- One person was cited with failure to drive in proper lane.
- One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
- One person was cited with failure to obey stop sign/traffic signal.
- One person was cited with driving with a loud defective exhaust.
- One person was cited with driving with plates in an improper location.
- One person was cited with failure to carry a license.
