Southington Police Blotter: Follow the Rules of the Road

The following arrest information was provided by the Southington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

In a busy end of the week for police, Southington officers reported a variety of arrests and citations, the majority coming from motor vehicle violations. Take a look back at the latest arrest logs.

The Southington Police Department also reported the following arrests:

Nov. 10

Nicholas P. Polansky, 22, of 120 Sunnyslope Drive, was charged with driving under the influence and failure to maintain proper lane, Nov. 10.

Nov. 12

Corey M. Mitchell, 19, 150 Burritt St. in Southington, was charged with failure to respond, Nov. 12.

Andrew Washington, 36, of 56 Wayne Drive in Plainville, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, second-degree breach of peace and second-degree reckless endangerment, Nov. 12.

Nov. 13

Kerry E. Ciccio, 34, of 245 Middle St. in Bristol, was charged with reckless driving, stop sign violation, failure to drive in proper lane and traveling too fast, Nov. 13.

Andrzej S. Janusz, 27, of 54 Wynola Ave. in New Britain, was charged with driving under the influence and evading responsibility in an accident, Nov. 13.

Robert McMillian, 23, of 295 Elm St. in West Haven, was charged with violation of protective order and second-degree harassment, Nov. 13.

Lisa I. Merrill, 44, of 16 Whippoorwill Road, was charged disorderly conduct, Nov. 13.

Nov. 14

Michael Mastrianni, 23, of 63 Merrell Ave. in Southington, was charged with three counts of second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault, Nov. 14.

Carlos A. Carmona, 47, 126 Hotchkiss Ave. in Waterbury, was charged with failure to insure motor vehicle, evading responsibility in an accident, operating a motor vehicle under suspension, misuse of plates and operating an unregistered motor vehicle, Nov. 14.

James W. Leonard, 33, of 1165 Meriden-Waterbury Road in Southington, was charged with misuse of marker plates, operating a motor vehicle under suspension, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating an unregistered motor vehicle, Nov. 14.

Nov. 15

William T. Maheu, 21, of 79 Carriage Drive in Southington, was charged with criminal mischief and breach of peace, Nov. 15.

Nov. 16

Torius Inge, 43, of 17 S. Hamilton St. in Pokeepsie, N.Y., was charged with two counts of sixth-degree larceny, Nov. 16.

Lawrence F. Perry Jr., 22, of 1 Saw Mill lane in Plantsville, was charged with disorderly conduct, Nov. 16.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:

  • Fourteen (14) people were cited with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
  • Five people were cited with following too close/unsafe backing.
  • Four people were cited with speeding/traveling too fast.
  • Three people were cited with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.
  • Three people were cited with possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana.
  • Two people were cited with seat belt violation.
  • One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
  • One person was cited with failure to obey stop sign/traffic signal.
  • One person was cited with making an improper turn.
  • One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle without a license.
  • One person was cited with failure to grant right of way.
  • One person was cited with failure to maintain proper lane.
  • One person was cited with possession of alcohol by a minor.
