Southington Police Blotter: Gun Theft, Drug Cases Lead to Arrests

The following arrest information was provided by the Southington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

In a lighter set of logs Wednesday, Southington police touched on an old arrest after finally closing the case in the Charles Street thefts. Officers also made arrests in a drug case and domestic dispute. Take a look back at the latest arrest logs.

The Southington Police Department reported the following arrests:

April 16 (Previously Unreported)

David Kirychuk, 27, of 19 Whitlock Ave. in Plantsville, was charged with three counts of third-degree burglary, fourth-degree larceny, theft of a firearm, third-degree criminal mischief, criminal attempt to commit third-degree burglary, criminal possession of a firearm and reckless endangerment, April 16.

May 13

Michael Corso, 23, of 215 Maple St. in East Haven, was charged with possession of narcotics, illegal storage of narcotics and second-degree failure to appear, May 13.

Edward Laramee, 58, of 46 Garden Gate Road in Southington, was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct, May 13.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:

  • Two people were cited with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
  • Two people were cited with following too close.
  • One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.
  • One person was cited with failure to drive in proper lane.
  • One person was cited with speeding/traveling too fast.
  • One person was cited with failure to properly negotiate a curve.
  • One person was cited with unsafe movement of a motor vehicle.
  • One person was cited with traveling with unsafe tires.
