Southington Police Blotter: MV Stop Leads to Larceny Arrest

The following arrest information was provided by the Southington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A motor vehicle stop led police to charge a New Britain man with various charges including larceny after learning there was a warrant for his arrest. That was just one of several arrests over the last several days, however. Take a look back at the latest arrest logs.

The Southington Police Department also reported the following arrests:

Nov. 4


Gerald J. Cassella, 26, of 126 Winthrop St. in New Britain, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, operating a motor vehicle under suspension, failure to renew registration, misuse of marker plates and carrying insufficient insurance, Nov. 4.

Nov. 5


Rene Girardin, 40, of 30 Troutbrook Road in Bristol, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, Nov. 5.

Jennifer Casteel, 31, of 78 Brookside Ave. in Torrington, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, Nov. 5.

Nov. 6


Paul Swiderski, 19, of 424 W. Pines Drive in Southington, was charged with second-degree failure to appear, Nov. 6.

Roberto Perez-Goyenchea, 41, of 119 Buckland St. in Southington, was charged with disorderly conduct, Nov. 6.

Nov. 7


Danielle Bonds, 23, of 521 E. Main St. in Torrington, was charged with violation of a restraining order, Nov. 7.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:

  • Eight people were cited with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
  • One person was cited with failure to insure motor vehicle.
  • One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle without a license.
  • One person was cited with unsafe backing/following too close.
  • One person was cited with using a cell phone while driving.
  • One person was cited with failure to maintain proper lane.
