Southington Police Blotter: Oct. 16

The following arrest information was provided by the Southington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

In a lighter set of arrests, police reported responses to a failure to appear case as well as a motor vehicle arrest stop that led to the discovery of a 20-year-old in possession of alcohol. There were also several citations reported, according to the police department. Take a look at the latest arrest logs.


The Southington Police Department reported the following arrests:

Oct. 16

Douglas Ruhm, 40, of 115 Oak St. in Southington, was charged with second-degree failure to appear, Oct. 16.

Artur Kasinski, 20, of 33 Muir Terrace in Southington, was charged with interfering with an officer, possession of alcohol by a minor, operating a motor vehicle under suspension, speeding and disobeying the signal of an officer, Oct. 16.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:

  • Three people were cited with speeding/traveling too fast.
  • Two people were cited for following too close.
  • Two people were cited with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
  • One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.
