Southington Police Blotter: Oct. 31 - Nov. 5

The following arrest information was provided by the Southington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

An arrest per day – and plenty of traffic citations to go with it.

It was a busy weekend for police, who made arrests in everything from a drug investigation to a larceny and failure to appear cases, not to mention more than 30 citations being issued for various offenses. Take a complete look back at the latest arrest logs.


The Southington Police Department reported the following arrests:

Oct. 31

Kevin P. Belanger, 31, of 207 Butler Ave. in Southington, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, Oct. 31.

Nov. 3

Kimberly A. Belury, 47, of 26 Goss St. in Waterbury, was charged with third-degree larceny, Nov. 3.

Nov. 4

Edward Hawksley, 35, of 35 Darling St. in Southington, was charged with first-degree failure to appear, Nov. 4.

Nov. 5

Andrew Simonow, 27, of 6 West Ave. in East Hampton, was charged with first-degree failure to appear, Nov. 5.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:

  • Twelve (12) people were cited with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
  • Seven people were cited with speeding/traveling too fast.
  • Five people were cited with a stop sign violation/failure to obey control signal.
  • Two people were cited with operating a motor vehicle without a license.
  • One person was cited with failure to maintain proper lane. 
  • One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
  • One person was cited with possession of less than a half ounce of marijuana.
  • One person was cited with failure to renew registration. 
  • One person was cited with failure to display marker plates.
  • One person was cited with a seat belt violation.
  • One person was cited with a cell phone violation.
