Police reported two separate shoplifting arrests on Thursday in a lighter arrest log that was filled instead with infractions. Eight were also cited for speeding or traveling too fast, while two others were cited with driving unregistered motor vehicles and one person was cited with possession of less than a half ounce or marijuana. The Southington Police Department reported the following arrests:
Sept. 17
Robert K. Gudat, 52, of 190 Tomlinson Ave. in Plainville, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, Sept. 17.

Sept. 18
Christina R. DellaVecchia, 19, of 910 Mount Vernon Road in Southington, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, Sept. 18.
Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:
- Police issued eight citations to area residents for speeding/traveling too fast infractions.
- Two were cited with driving an unregistered motor vehicle.
- One person was cited for possess of less than 1/2 ounce of marijuana.
- Officers issued one citation each for the following motor vehicle infractions: failure to drive in proper lane, operating a motor vehicle without a license, passing on the right, cell phone violation and seatbelt violation.
