Southington Police Blotter: Shoplifters Charged, Assault Case Closed

The following arrest information was provided by the Southington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

In a steady end of the week for police, officers responded to several cases to close out last week including two shoplifting cases and an assault. Take a look back at the latest arrest logs.

The Southington Police Department also reported the following arrests:

Oct. 30


Katherine Carr, 24, of 140 Hillard St. in Manchester, was charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, Oct. 30.

Oct. 31

Ryan Czwczynski, 30, of 131 W. Center St. in Southington, was charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, Oct. 31.

Nov. 1

Tyler DelSanto, 19, of 163 Oakland Road in Southington, was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace, Nov. 1.

Marcus Irish, 23, of 122 Wyoming St. in Waterbury, was charged with second-degree failure to appear, Nov. 1.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:

  • Seven people were cited with speeding/traveling too fast.
  • Six people were cited with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
  • Two people were cited with using a cell phone while driving.
  • Two people were cited with violation of a stop sign/traffic signal.
  • Two people were cited with unsafe backing/following too close.
  • One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
  • One person was cited with possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana.
  • One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.
  • One person was cited with driving the wrong way on a one-way road.
  • One person was cited with emissions violation.
  • One person was cited with possession of alcohol by a minor.
  • One person was cited with creating a public disturbance.
