Southington Police Blotter: Shoplifters Keeping Cops Busy

The following arrest information was provided by the Southington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Two of the three arrests rounding out last week (before the Christmas holiday) came from shoplifting incidents while a third involved a motor vehicle. Take a look back at the latest arrest logs.

The Southington Police Department reported the following arrests:

Dec. 15

Armando Perez, 72, of 24 Prospect St. in Waterbury, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, Dec. 15.

Dec. 18

Joshua Torres, 21, of 35 Willow Court in Meriden, was charged with failure to drive in proper lane, misuse of marker plates, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating a motor vehicle without a license, Dec. 18.

Dec. 19

Jennifer C. Roy, 40, of 38 South St. Ext. in Bristol, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, Dec. 19.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:

  • Five people were cited with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
  • Two people were cited with using a cell phone while driving.
  • One person was cited with unsafe passing.
  • One person was cited with failure to carry insurance card.
  • One person was cited with failure to properly insure motor vehicle.
  • One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle without a license.
  • One person was cited with creating a public disturbance.
  • One person was cited with allowing a dog to roam without a leash.
