Southington Police Blotter: York Case Closed After Firearm Theft

The following arrest information was provided by the Southington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Southington man arrested in November will face no additional charges, but his case in the theft of handguns from a local manufacturer remains active in the court system.

Police also arrested two Wolcott residents this week in connection with a seven month embezzlement scheme from a local business.

The Southington Police Department reported the following arrests:

Nov. 22

Gary York, 38, of 996 W. Center St. in Southington, was charged with theft of a firearm, conspiracy to commit theft of a firearm and criminal possession of a firearm, Nov. 22.

David J. Ouellette, 44, of 35 W. Chester Drive in Southington, was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia, Nov. 22.

Dec. 10

Brian Tice, 26, of 274 N. Main St. in Southington, was charged with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and risk of injury to a minor, Dec. 10.

Kelsey R. Cyr, 26, of 6 Pardee St. in Bristol, was charged with two counts of second-degree forgery and sixth-degree larceny, Dec. 10.

Dec. 11

Rome H. Riddick, 35, of 42 Brentwood Ave. in Waterbury, was charged with three counts of second-degree failure to appear, Dec. 11.

David E. Pinto, 36, of 208 Beach Road in Wolcott, was charged with criminal liability to commit first-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny, Dec. 11.

Holly M. Miner, 32, of 208 Beach Road in Wolcott, was charged with first-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny, three counts of second-degree forgery and two counts of illegal use of a credit card, Dec. 11.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:

  • Three people were cited with speeding/traveling too fast.
  • Two people were cited with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
  • One person was cited with using a cell phone while driving.
