Southington detectives are investigating the circumstances that led to the death of a 27-year-old Bristol woman found unconscious at a friend’s home on Darling Street early Monday morning.

Officers and medical personnel were dispatched to 25 Darling St. just before 3 a.m. Monday, on report of an unconscious female who had been found in the residence. When medical personnel arrived, they reportedly found Tabitha Perry unconscious and not breathing.

Police said Perry was taken to the Hospital of Central Connecticut, Bradley Campus, for medical treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival. Police were dispatched to the home to investigate the death, but found no suspicious circumstances regarding the incident, according to a press release from Sgt. Jeffrey Dobratz.

“Detectives are awaiting the results of an autopsy and toxicology report,” Dobratz said. “This is an active investigation and further details will be made available as warranted.”

Further details were not available Tuesday morning.

Perry was questioned earlier this year in the Aaron Hernandez murder case in North Attleboro, Mass. Police did not indicate how she may have been involved in the case.

Hernandez, the former New England Patriot charged in the murder of a man found less than half a mile from his home, is a Bristol native.

Perry was also injured in a June 30 car accident that killed Thaddeus Singleton III, who lost control of his car before crashing into Farmington Country Club. Singleton had a child with Perry, but was married to Tanya Singleton, a cousin of Hernandez who faces an accessory charge in Lloyd's death.
