Southington Police: Motor Vehicle Violations Land Brooklyn Woman in Handcuffs

The following arrest information was provided by the Southington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Brooklyn woman is facing charges including third-degree larceny and theft of a license plate following a traffic stop in Southington on New Years Day. That was just one of a couple recent responses however, so take a look back at the latest police blotter.

The Southington Police Department reported the following arrests:

Dec. 31, 2013

Richard R. Thomas, 40, of 134 Williamson Circle in Oakville, was charged with disorderly conduct, Dec. 31.

Jan. 1, 2014

Shawn R. Amiot, 26, of 56 Baileywoods Road in Brooklyn, was charged with third-degree larceny, theft of marker plates, operating a motor vehicle under suspension, misuse of marker plates and operating an unregistered motor vehicle, Jan. 1.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:

  • Four people were cited with operating n unregistered motor vehicle.
  • One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.
  • One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
