State Police Seek Help In Identifying Suspect

Troopers said the woman has used a Burlington resident's identity to open and use several bogus credit card accounts since Aug. 1.

Connecticut State Police are seeking help from the public in identifying a woman who police say used a Burlington woman's idenitity to open several credit accounts.

The accounts were opened and used between Aug. 1 and Aug. 6, according to State Police Lt. J. Paul Vance.

Police captured video of the woman and her car on Aug. 2 at the Target Greatland store in New Britain, down the road from the Westfarms mall. Troopers are following investigative leads and are seeking more information from the public.

The suspect is believed to own a green Jeep Grand Cherokee and has also used the bogus credit cards at numerous locations in Connecticut and New York, Vance said.

"It appears that the female may have a tattoo on her upper pectoral area, and there are also stickers on the Jeep vehicle. The stickers may make the vehicle unique and identifiable," Vance said.

Anyone who may know the identification of this female suspect or who may recognize the suspect vehicle is asked to contact Connecticut  State Police at Troop L in Litchfield by calling 860-626-7900. All calls will be kept confidential.
