The Lifestar medical helicopter was initially called, but officials are saying now that the injuries appear non life-threatening.

Updated: 10:29 a.m.
At least one person is injured and police have closed the off-ramp to Interstate 84 East at exit 32 following a tractor trailer rollover Tuesday morning.

The driver of the vehicle has suffered serious injuries after he was pinned against a tree. American Medical Response, which provides ambulance and EMT services, called for LifeStar medical helicopter and requested assistance for extrication from the Southington Fire Department.

The helicopter landed in the parking lot of the nearby Brannigan's Restaurant property on Lanning Street, but has since taken the driver of the truck. Injuries are non life-threatening, Connecticut State Police confirmed.

The off-ramp and right lane of I-84 are both closed as officials clear the scene.

The truck was carrying disposable diapers when it crashed, falling off the right side of the eastbound lanes and into the area between the highway and the exit and entrance ramp to I-84 East.

Further information was not immediately available.
