Twelve Cited in Underage Drinking Incident

Twelve local residents are facing charges of underage drinking and two others are also facing charges of interfering with police after officers broke up a party at the Motel 6 on Queen Street last week.

Police said Monday that the party included several underage drinkers who had rented two rooms at the 625 Queen St. motel. Officers had investigated the party after receiving reports of a noise complaint from staff and other patrons of the motel.

When officers arrived, police said they found a party in two connecting rooms with alcohol in both. Minors were hiding in one of the rooms, police said, and two of the minors attempted to flee briefly.

“Underage drinking is not something that will be tolerated,” Sgt. Lowell DePalma said earlier this year. “We are being vigilant and we will take action if underage parties are discovered. Our goal is to be proactive before something tragic happens.”

The following were cited in the incident, police said:

Joshua M. Kriscenski, 18, of 26 Constance Lane in Bristol, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor, July 20.

Steven R. Lord, 18, of 64 Longo Drive in Milldale, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor, July 20.

Lauren P. Lutynski, 18, of 1181 Shuttle Meadow Road in Southington, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and interfering with police, July 20.

Kayla A. McCann, 18, of 27 Burlington Ave. in Bristol, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor, July 20.

Nicole B. Meehan, 18, of 7 Wayne Drive in Plainville, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor, July 20.

Nicholas P. Nanfito, 19, of 150 Burritt St. in Plantsville, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor, July 20.

Lauren L. Sargent, 19, of 996 Flanders Road in Southington, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor, July 20.

Laura A. Slade, 20, of 25 Christine Drive in Southington, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and interfering with police, July 20.

Alec J. Ulrych, 20, of 218 Pondview Drive in Southington, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor, July 20.

Emily C. Willametz, 19, of 384 Hobart St. in Southington, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor, July 20.

Eric P. Winslow, 19, of 41 Brookdale Road in Meriden, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor, July 20.

Nicole Ziotas, 19, of 59 Donna Lane in Forestville, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor, July 20.
