Two Facing Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

The following arrest information was provided by the Southington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Two New Britain residents are facing charges after a routine traffic stop on Andrews Street Friday night led officers to discover they were in possession of cocaine, Oxycodone and marijuana, police said.

Officers pulled over a car on Andrews Street just before 7 p.m. after the car was missing a front license plate, according to a police report. When officers approached the car, they detected a strong scent of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

A search revealed that the driver, 19-year-old Pawel Rembiszewski, and the passenger, 23-year-old Lukasz Rejch were each in possession of small quantities of the drugs, police said. Rembiszewski also had a can of pepper spray with him in the car, police said.

Rembiszweski, of 9 Davis St. in New Britain, and Rejch, of 197 Gold St. in New Britain, were each booked on charges of possession of narcotics, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Rembiszewski is also facing one charge of possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle because of the pepper spray, police said.

Hector N. Morales, 41, of 185 Ruggles Row in Milldale, was charged with second-degree failure to appear, April 5.

Robert Deangelis, 54, of 316 Meriden Ave. in Southington, was charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with an officer, April 6.

Cynthia Ann Voorhees, 43, of 35 Windsor Way in Southington, was charged with failure to maintain proper lane and driving under the influence, April 6.

Anibal Rivera Jr., 35, of 144 Pratt St. in Meriden, was charged with driving under the influence and driving the wrong way on a one-way street, April 7.

Walter C. World, 35, of 138 Charter Oak St. in Manchester, was charged with interfering with an officer, April 7.

Catherine Rivera, 41, of 21 Berkley Ave. in Southington, was charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with an officer, April 7.

Victor J. Daesener, 18, of 142 Park St. in Bristol, was charged with simple trespassing, April 7.

Aaron M. Pienkowski, 20, of 45750 W. Morning View Lane in Mariciopa, Ariz., was charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor, April 8.
