Witness List in Komisarjevsky Trial Could Be Release Tomorrow
Witness list to be released tomorrow and alternate juror may be released from serving.
Jury selection resumes today for the Joshua Komisarjevsky trial with at least two outstanding issues to be considered this week.
First is whether the Connecticut Supreme Court would accept an appeal by Komisarjevsky’s defense to overturn an Appellate Court decision on releasing the trial witness lists to the media.
If the Supreme Court doesn’t take up the appeal, the witness lists will be released tomorrow. The defense said that could jeopardize Komisarjevsky’s right to a fair trial.

The other concerns a woman from Wallingford who was picked as an alternate juror on May 26. She later asked to be excused from serving on the jury after learning the details of the case.
The New Haven Register quoted a courtroom source that said the alternate juror was in tears when she asked to be excused. Judge Jon C. Blue said he would recall her Thursday to review her request.
