Woman Charged in Shoplifting, Domestic Cases and Other Arrests

A look at the recent arrests reported by the Southington Police Department.

Police have arrested a local woman in connection with a shoplifting incident after surveillance video at showed her stealing chrysanthemums from the Price Chopper along Queen Street on Monday afternoon.

Monika Berisha, 46, of 1220 Pleasant St. in  Southington, was taken into custody on one charge of sixth-degree larceny. She was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Bristol Superior Court for arraignment later this month.

The also reported the following arrests:

Jane L. Grazioso, 52, of 118 Pondview Drive in Southington, was charged with disorderly conduct, Oct. 13.

Cynthia Basile, 52, of 364 Meriden-Waterbury Road in Southington, was charged with disorderly conduct, Oct 13. 

James W. Leonard, 31, of 215 Old Turnpike Road in Southington, was charged with disorderly conduct and violation of a protective order, Oct. 17.

Dominic J. Giannini, 19, of 84 Rhona Lane in Bristol, was charged with risk of injury to a minor and second-degree sexual assault, Oct. 18.
