Murphy Campaign Invites Role in Video

With the annoucnement Tuesday of , Democratic senate candidate Chris Murphy responded with a request to donors.

"Our immediate goal is to create a stark contract between the two campaigns by matching her many millions with a flood of individual contributions in the first few days following the announcement," Murphy wrote.

His fundraising effort includes what Murphy calls a "creative contest" that ties donations to his campaign.

Here's Murphy's offer:

"It's simple: make a contribution - of any size - to our campaign before the end of this month's critical fundraising deadline and we'll draw at random two of the donors who respond to this appeal to appear in an ad during the campaign."
