Register to Vote This Saturday

Southington Elections Department extends hours as voter registration deadline nears.


If you still haven’t registered to vote in the Nov. 6 presidential election, you’re in luck. The Southington Elections Department is holding special voter registration hours this Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Visit Southington Town Hall at 75 Main Street and fill out a voter registration application. You must show a valid form of identification.

Southington residents may also register in person during regular office hours, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, until Oct. 30. The Registrar of Voters office will be open from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Oct. 30 for last-minute voters.

The deadline for mail-in registration is Tuesday, Oct. 23, in order to vote in the upcoming election. Applications must be postmarked by that date. You may pick up an application in the Town Hall or download one from the Southington Registrar of Voters website.

This form may also be used to update voter information, such as address, name or party affiliation.
