The action centers on the hilarious dilemma of a young architect who is visited by a man he's never met but who saved his life in Vietnam—the visitor turning out to be an incredibly inept, hopelessly stupid "nerd" who outstays his welcome with a vengeance. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $12 from Just For You Country Gifts, 979 Meriden-Waterbury Road, Plantsville, The Music Shop, 405 Queen Street, Southington, or from any cast member. Tickets are also available at the door for $15.
Saturday, Dec. 10, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., at the , 240 Main St.
The first-ever Holiday Bazaar and bake sale will provide residents with a unique opportunity at holiday shopping with over 25 vendors who will be selling jewelry, clothing, items from the Tastefully Simple and Avon brands, Pandora charms, scholastic books, candles and more. Proceeds of the sale will go back to Derynoski Elementary. Everyone is asked to bring a non-perishable item for admittance, which will be donated to the Southington Food Pantry. Southington Police Sponsor "Stuff-A-Cruiser"
Saturday, Dec. 10, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., at , 235 Queen St.
The Southington Police Department will once again be conducting the Stuff-A-Cruiser event to benefit families in Southington. All gifts collected will be donated to Southington’s Social Services Department. The Stuff a Cruiser event will be accepting gifts for all ages. Please donate a new unwrapped gift if you can.
Santa at Sloper
Saturday, Dec. 10, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., at , 1000 East St.
YMCA Camp Sloper and The Mill Foundation for Kids have joined efforts once again this year to present “Santa at Sloper” at the YMCA Camp Sloper Outdoor Center located in Southington at 1000 East Street. Cost for attendance is $10.00 per family and one unwrapped, new toy. All toys will be donated to the local children’s hospitals and the YMCA’s Outreach program. There is no pre-registration necessary to attend the event.
