It's official: 2012 is now half done. As we approach the July 4 holiday, there is a very light schedule in Southington with just two meetings a couple events, but things will pick up soon as the council has some important decisions ahead next week.

"Shrek" - Rated PG, hosted by the American Legion Auxiliary. Gates open at 6 p.m.; movies begin at sunset. Rain date is Sunday. Southington residents pay $10 a carload; non-residents pay $13 a carload. Walk-ins are welcome at $2 per person - please bring lawn chairs. Food vendors will be on site. Movies subject to change.
