Tenth Annual Touch-A-Truck
Saturday, May 19, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the

The American Legion Auxiliary and the Southington Parks & Recreation Department are proud to co-sponsor the 10th Annual "Touch-a-Truck" event! The event will take place in the rear parking lot of Derynoski School - entrance on Eden Avenue. The admission is $3 per child. Rain date is Sunday, May 20.

Quinnipiac Downriver Classic Canoe/Kayak Race
Sunday, May 20, 11 a.m. in the DOT Parking Lot on Meriden-Waterbury Road

This is the 32nd Annual Quinnipiac Downriver Classic Canoe/Kayak Race. It is the longest running race in Connecticut history. The race will start at 11 a.m.

Race day registration is from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Entrance fee is $18 per person. Registration and the start of the race will be at the DOT Parking Lot on Meriden Waterbury Turnpike (Route 322).

You may also pre-register here. If you choose to pre-register be sure to bring a copy of your registration form along with your PayPal receipt on the day of the race. If you prefer to pay by check, please mail in your payment along with a copy of your registration form to: QRWA, PO BOX 2825, Meriden, CT 06450.

There will be a post race cook out at: QRWA Headquarters, 540 Oregon Road, Meriden, CT 06451. Click here for driving directions. For race information or to reserve a canoe, please contact Dan Pelletier at (203) 237-2237. Canoes are available for free.
