OTHER MAJOR EVENTS

The annual fall concert is scheduled to take place Tuesday evening, but pay attention to school closings. If schools are closed due to weather, the concert will be rescheduled.

Daylight Savings Time Ends
Saturday/Sunday, Nov. 5/Nov. 6

Editors Note:
Set your clocks back before you go to bed Saturday night. At 2 a.m. on Nov. 6, it will officially become 1 a.m. once again. Confusing? I can never remember so I figured I'd give you a reminder (and hopefully remember myself for a change and not wake up confused).

There's some positives here and some negatives here. On one side of it, it means shorter days and colder nights in New England. We've already gotten a taste of what's coming.

On the other side of the coin, what we have here is a great opportunity for many of us to catch an extra hour of sleep. As someone who worked the graveyard shift at a second job for years, this is the first time since I was a teenager that I can take advantage of this true blessing.

Have a great week and stay in touch with Southington Patch.
