SHS VARSITY COMPETITION
The regular season has ended for most teams, but the Southington High School Girls Volleyball Team is stick in the thick of the hunt and there's still two regular season game left: one against Simsbury this week and a second against Cheshire, which will take place on Thanksgiving Day.

Football
Wednesday, Nov. 16, 5 p.m.

The Blue Knights (5-3) will take on Simsbury High School in a weather-impacted make-up game at .

Here's a look at the Blue Knights Volleyball playoff path this week:

Southington High School v.s. Ridgefield High School
Tuesday, Nov. 15, 7 p.m. at
It'll be the fourth-seeded Blue Knights (18-1) against No. 5 Ridgefield (17-2) in the Class LL quarterfinals match-up, with the winner moving on to the face the winner of the Darien/Glastonbury match-up.

Girls Volleyball Semi-Finals
Thursday, Nov. 17, time TBD, site TBD
Southington/Ridgefield winner will take on Darien/Glastonbury winner. Darien holds home-court advantage throughout, should they continue winning.

Girls Volleyball Finals
Saturday, Nov. 19, time TBD, site TBD
There's a lot that could happen between now and then. The winner from above will face a potential match-up against Cheshire, Bristol Eastern, Newtown or Staples in a winner-take-all series.

OTHER MAJOR EVENTS

SHS Band/Orchestra Concert
Monday, Nov. 14, 6:30 p.m., at , 26 S. Main St.

The Unico Club Italian Night Dinner will consist of pasta fagioli, antipasto, ziti & meatballs, suffrite, chicken parmagiana, roasted potatoes and salad.  Wine will be served with the meal.

Reservations may be made by contacting Mike Fasulo at (860) 276-9787 or Joe LaPorte at (860) 628-2227 as well as any Unico member.  This event is one of many Unico sponsors to aid local charities.

Chamber of Commerce Wing Fest
Wednesday, Nov. 16, 5:30 p.m. at , 45 Jude Lane.

The popular annual event is back! With eight participating restaurants, residents are guaranteed some fun and 16 wings to determine this year's best-in-town winner. Tickets are $10 with a donated toy, $12 without.
