: The Southington High School Cyber Knights, Team 195, has been on a hot streak as of late, winning two regionals in a row and three of their last four now. The competition is about to get fierce, but the team is ready. : In one of the stranger are police stories of the week – and the top read story – a 22-year-old Southington man used texts to his father in an effort to collect $150 from him by indicating he was in danger. That plan went awry when police found out, even though his dad wasn’t going to tell them. : Southington Community Cultural Arts, an organization dedicated to bringing more arts and culture to downtown Southington, is pushing for the town to lease the Gura Building at Southington Town Hall to them for the development of a new arts center.
