One of Gov. Dannel Malloy’s proposals in his gun control package is to ban ammunition magazines of more than 10 rounds.

Under his proposal, “Owners of magazines holding more than 10 cartridges would have until Oct. 1 to sell them out of state, turn them in to police or permanently alter them to a capacity of 10 rounds or fewer.”

According to the search warrants released last week in the Sandy Hook massacre
, it took killer Adam Lanza less than 5 minutes to fire 154 bullets, killing the 20 first-graders and six educators in the school, using 30-round magazine clips in a military-type assault weapon.

What do you think? Should the magazines be limited to 10 rounds or fewer? Add your thoughts in the comments.
