What Should Be Built Along South Main Street in Plantsville?

The field and area that separates the commuter lot off Interstate 84 from Apple Valley Bowling is up for grabs. What would you like to see built there?

Let's call this a modern spin on community planning - Patch's version of a charette, a digital drawing board where all ideas are on the table.

Each week we'll present a new vacant building and ask you to tell us what you think would be the best use. Forget what zone it's in, ignore setback regulations, dump lot coverage rules and all the other zoning jargon that puts people most to sleep.

If you had your way, what would you like to see there? What would be the best use for the community?

The travels around town this week led to a field and slight wooded area located along South Main Street in Plantsville, just off of Interstate 84.

The land is for lease and can be built to suit. With little residential development in the area and a commuter lot located adjacent to the property, which also lies next to the , the space has the potential for virtually any type of commercial development.

So today, we have just one question for you. If you were a developer with an eye for the location, what would you build? How would you fill the space?
