My Candidacy for Southington's Planning and Zoning Commission

In less than a month from today residents of Southington will make their way to the polls and decide upon the next of group elected officials to govern our town.

At this time I would like to introduce myself and provide some of my background.

Since 2011 I have been proudly serving our town. Currently I serve as an Alternate for the Planning and Zoning Commission, and as a member of the commission's Continuous Improvement sub-committee.

I grew up with two parents on disability since age 5, and watching their struggles not only taught me strength, but played a large role in making me who I am today.

After graduating from Southington High School, I served in the United States Air Force, and after coming home I earned my degree in Political Science from Central Connecticut State University.

I have a firm belief that government has a duty to help those who cannot otherwise help themselves, and work to establish fairness and opportunity…even where little can be found.

I love this town, and that is why my fiance and I have chosen to stay here and build our family. This community not only helped me survive, but taught me to fight hard and achieve success through any situation thrown my way.

I am a product of Southington, and with your help on November 5th, I plan to give back all I can through this specific public service.
