Blue Knights Will Help Kick-Off Competition at New Turf Field
When Southington and Cheshire go head-to-head on Thursday, it will mark the grand opening of a new turf field at Cheshire High School.
The Cheshire Rams will take on the Southington Blue Knights on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, in the first game of the year to be played on the new turf field at Cheshire High School.
Festivities begin around 9:15 a.m. with the annual Senior Day Ceremony followed by a short Grand Opening event for the turf field.
Kickoff is scheduled for 10 a.m.
The long-awaited turf field project is complete except for the painting of the track lines, which will be completed after Thanksgiving, said Vincent Masciana, director of management services for Cheshire schools.
Tickets are on sale now in the athletics department. Tickets will be $8 for everyone on the day of the game.
